Pupils get off to good start

HUNDREDS of primary pupils in West Lothian will continue to benefit from free breakfasts after funding for the programme was approved.

The education executive yesterday agreed to continue to provide funding to 24 primary schools, enabling them to provide free breakfasts for P1 to P3.

It was also announced that P1 to P3 pupils attending Dedridge Primary School in Livingston and Pumpherston and Uphall Station Community Primary School would also be included in the programme to receive free breakfasts, increasing the total number of schools taking part in West Lothian to 26.
