Children at Burnbrae Primary in Bonnyrigg have been reminded about health and safety by representatives from housebuilder Taylor Wimpey.

Developing new homes that are close to the new school, the company was keen to raise awareness of the dangers associated with playing near any construction site during a recent visit to the town.

Headteacher Candy Inglis said: “Given that we will have a significant amount of construction work in the local area for some time, this visit has allowed the health and safety team to reinforce their safety message.”

Ewan Robertson, Production Director of Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, added: “Health and safety in and around construction areas is of vital importance. Taking a proactive approach allows us to reinforce how important it is for children to stay away from building sites.”
