Put your questions to the Midlothian candidates

Community organisation Midlothian Matters is hosting two hustings ahead of the Scottish Parliament elections.

The first will be held tonight (Thursday) for those living in the Midlothian South, Tweeddale and Lauderdale constituency. It will be held in Penicuik Town Hall, High Street, at 7pm.

The second event, held in conjunction with St Nicholas Buccleuch Church, High Street, Dalkeith, will take place in the church on Wednesday, April 20 at 7pm. This is for those in the Midlothian North and Musselburgh constituency.

Donations at the Dalkeith event will be taken at the door. The money raised will be split between Womens Aid East & Midlothian and MidAid for refugees.

The candidates for Midlothian North and Musselburgh are: Jeremy Balfour (Con), Colin Beattie (SNP), Jacquie Bell (Lib Dem) and Bernard Harkins (Lab).

Midlothian South, Tweeddale and Lauderdale constituency: Michelle Ballantyne (Con), Kris Chapman (Lib Dem), Fiona Dugdale (Lab) and Christine Grahame (SNP).

The Scottish Parliament election will take place on Thursday, May 5.
