A number of Midlothian primary schools took part in ‘Ingingerness’ workshops during Midfest.
Organised by Donna Strachan, the sessions explained to the children they could be confident about their hair colour.
Donna said: “The ginger pride movement is all about promoting positive qualities and reclaiming the word ‘ginger’. It’s to give the next generation of gingers a bit of resilience.
“Many people have been teased and bullied in Scotland about the colour of their hair. We want to make sure this doesn’t happen and make the next generation of gingers feel proud.”
