Restaurant bosses step out for kids charity

RESTAURANT bosses have taken part in a sponsored walk along the West Highland Way to raise money for charity.

The group of 11 managers from Bella Italia, including Capital branches, trekked from the outskirts of Glasgow to the foot of Ben Nevis.

They were aiming to raise £11,000 for The Children’s Society, which supports vulnerable and disadvantaged young people, including children in care, young runaways and
disabled children.

Audrey Wallace, manager at the city’s North Bridge branch, said: “When we thought about raising money for The Children’s Society we thought the West Highland Way would be a challenging yet rewarding experience.

“Each store manager has a target of £1000 – which I’m sure we will smash.”
