Ribbon cut at foodbank

A FOODBANK that has served more than 3200 meals to families in crisis is set for its official opening.

Labour MPs Graeme Morrice and Michael Connarty will cut the ribbon for the grand unveiling of the new West Lothian Foodbank in Whitburn tomorrow.

The service, set up by Whitburn Pentecostal Church with assistance from the Trussel Trust, has been providing a service since November last year.

More than four tonnes of food have been donated to the scheme so far.
