A PATHHEAD teenager’s music has been impressing music industry moguls after his mother handed out demo CDs at T in the Park.
Ryan Hunter (14), is the son of Iain Hunter – the singing butcher from Oxenfoord Castle – who was discovered coincidentally at last year’s music festival. And it seems that his talent has rubbed off on the Dalkeith High School pupil, who got to meet a host of music stars at this year’s T in the Park.
Mum Pamela Hunter explained more: “This huge guy was standing beside us, so I gave him a CD. I didn’t know who he was but he looked important.
“The week after T in the Park I got a phone call from him saying he was listening to the CD and asked if Ryan wrote the songs and played all the instruments himself. When I said yes, he invited us down to London.
“It turned out that the guy was one of the main men in SJM concerts – the biggest concert promoters in the world – and wanted Ryan to meet some top producers.”
