Nominations are being sought for Penicuik’s Citizen of the Year.
The honour has been presented by the town’s community council for more than a decade in recognition of an individual’s work or achievements.
The community council has extended the deadline for nominations to the end of April in a bid to attract as many potential candidates as possible.
Each nominated person should have a proposer, a seconder and at least one other sponsor.
Formal nominations should include the name and address of the person being put forward and an explanation why they should be chosen at Citizen of the Year.
