Second man on murder charge
A SECOND man has been charged with murder following the death of a 40-year-old near a pub.
David McCardle, from Musselburgh, was found with serious head injuries near the Clubhouse pub in the town’s North High Street on Friday night. He later died at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
Ryan Peter Cameron, 24, appeared at Haddington Sheriff Court yesterday charged with murder. He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody, the Crown Office said. It is expected he will appear in court again next week.
Ross Tait, 21, appeared at the court on Monday and was also charged with murder. He made no plea or declaration and is expected back in court in a week’s time.
