Seeking pick
of the litter

Five of the Capital’s schools are taking part in a pilot project aimed at wiping out littering in their neighbourhoods.

The Lose the Litter project is being run by Changeworks’ Waste Education Services, and will see pupils at Leith Academy and Craigmount, Holyrood, Portobello and Queensferry high school conduct litter “audits” and attend workshops on preventing litter.

The school that demonstrates the greatest improvement will be awarded £1000 for its eco-team.
