Sex attack counselling

Midlothian Council is reassuring people who have been the victims of sexual violence or abuse that counselling services are available.

The advice comes amid protests over the convicted sex offender Robert Greens being housed in the county.

The council’s director of communities and wellbeing, Eibhlin McHugh, said: “The work we’re doing is to protect the public, and it’s not an easy situation.

“We understand that it’s emotionally difficult to discuss the return to a community of someone convicted of this kind of crime.”
