Shoppers visiting IKEA’s Loanhead store will get the chance to learn more about home and personal safety at a special roadshow organised by Midlothian Community Safety Partnership.
Information and advice will be available this Wednesday (June 3) on a range of issues including child safety, first aid, safe cycling, staying safe in the home, and preventing slips, trips and falls.
The roadshow, which will be visiting the store’s restaurant area between 10am and 3pm, will also include information on ageing well, telecare and Surestart.
There will be a particular focus on looking after children, the elderly and vulnerable, with ambulance, fire and rescue service staff and an osteoporosis nurse among those on hand to give their expert advice.
This latest roadshow is one of a series being organised by the Community Safety Partnership at various venues in Midlothian throughout 2015.
