Students dive with sharks

MORE than a dozen students are taking the plunge and diving with sharks at Deep Sea World to raise funds for a selection of charities.

The dives, which have been organised by MedRag – a society run by medical students at Edinburgh University – are raising money for charities including Save the Children, CLIC Sargent and Parkinson’s UK.

To date, the team of 13 divers has raised more than £3,500.
MedRag second year representative Caroline Hope said: “We have had a brilliant experience working with the great people at Deep Sea World to set up 13 charity divers through MedRag at Edinburgh University this year.”

The shark dives have brought the total money raised for charity by MedRag to nearly £20,000 in the three years it has been running.
