The accusation includes claims Mr Nair was jumped and stamped upon as well as being hit with a glass bottle and metal baton.

Prosecutors alleged the incident was racially aggravated.

The trio are also said to have carried out another racist assault on Charlton Dsa on the same day in the capital.

McCann and O’Reilly face a further allegation that they acted in a “racially aggravated manner” towards Olutoyin Kasim in Edinburgh last February 7.

O’Reilly is accused of behaving in a threatening or abusive way towards others on April 6.

Judge Lord Turnbull set a trial due to begin in July in Glasgow.

A further hearing will take place before then next month.

The trio had their bail continued.
