Toughen up rules on private car parks, says Dalkeith CAB

Dalkeith Citizens Advice Bureau is calling on the Scottish Government to regulate the private parking industry after seeing a rise in complaints.

In the past year alone Dalkeith CAB has assisted 112 local motorists with complaints regarding charges at car parks both within and outwith Midlothian.

One was made after a disabled mother-of-two received a parking charge notice for breaching the marked lines of a parking bay at a West Lothian shopping complex.
