Police investigate fatal road crash in West Lothian

The incident happened around 10am on Monday, November 14, when a heavy good vehicle came off the road and struck a bollard.

Hide AdWhen approached the 60-year-old male driver of the vehicle was found to be unconscious. He was treated at the scene by officers and was taken to St John’s Hospital, Livingston, by the Scottish Ambulance Service.
The 60-year-old sadly passed away shortly after. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
The road was temporality closed while road was made safe and reopened around 3.30pm.
Officers are investigating and are eager to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision.

Hide AdPolice Sergeant Gary Taylor of Police Scotland’s Road Policing Unit based at Livingston said: “This is a tragic incident which has resulted in the death of a man.
“We are eager to establish the full circumstances of this collision and wish to speak to any witnesses who may have been in the local area.
“I would urge anyone who was near to the Wilderness Roundabout around 10am on Monday, November 14, and saw anything, to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
