Rail misery as late trains are scrapped
From September 4, trains from Waverley to Glasgow Queen Street will termimate at Polmont after 8.30pm every night of the week apart from Fridays and Saturdays.
Passengers will then have to travel by bus to and from Linlithgow and Edinburgh adding around an hour to journey times. Meanwhile, there will be no trains on the route before 11am on Sundays.

The disruption – which comes just a month after the reopening of Glasgow Queen Street High Level following a mammoth 20-week closure – is to allow for engineers to work on electrification of the line.
David Dickson, Scotrail Alliance infrastructure director, said: “Every effort has been made to minimise disruption as much as we possibly can.”
