Roadworks to close City Bypass

OVERNIGHT roadworks will take place on the A720 City Bypass between Gilmerton and Sheriffhall eastbound from the weekend.

The road will be closed from Straiton Junction to the Sheriffhall roundabout between 8pm and 6am from Friday to Tuesday, with a diversion route in place.

Transport Scotland said: “Undertaking this work now will reduce the need for further maintenance in future and will improve overall journey time reliability for 21,098 vehicles using this route each day.”
