Borders rail connection work begins
The works will be carried out between the Millerhill junction on the Edinburgh City Bypass and Sherriffhall roundabout near Dalkeith.
A Network Rail Scotland spokesman said the project would involve significant changes to the area’s road layout and construction of a bridge near Sherriffhall.

Hide AdConstruction is scheduled to be completed by the summer of 2015.
The project is part of reconnecting Edinburgh to the Borders by reopening 30 miles of railway at a cost of £360 million.
Seven new train stations will be opened.
The completed line will allow passengers to travel from Tweedbank to Edinburgh Waverley in less than an hour.
