The collision occurred on East Preston Street, which connects Dalkeith Road and Newington Road.

Road closures are in place at East Preston Street with Oxford Street, South Clerk Street at Bernard Terrace, West Preston Street at Causewayside and Newington Road at Salisbury Place.
