Edinburgh police shut Willowbrae Road after crash

Police have closed Willowbrae Road in Edinburgh to traffic this afternoon, after a crash involving one car at 5:40pm this afternoon.

Edinburgh Council said the road was closed between Ulster Crescent and Northfield Crescent.

Emergency services are understood to be at the scene.

Lothian buses warned its passengers that the 4, 104, 113, and X7 buses would be diverted away from the route.

Police Scotland confirmed that they were called to the scene at around 5:40pm, and said that the road was closed to allow officers to carry out inquiries.
