Man rescued after falling from Arthur’s Seat

A 25-year-old man has been rescued by firefighters after falling from the top of Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh.

A spokeswoman for Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service said: “A 25-year-old male had fallen from the summit of Arthur’s Seat. The casualty was discovered by park workers.”

Five fire crews consisting of around 20 firefighters were called to the scene and worked with park rangers and medics to help the man into a rescue helicopter.

He was airlifted from the steep hillside to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, suffering from head, back and arm injuries.
