COMMUTERS faced long rush-hour delays this morning after a lorry broke down at the Newbridge roundabout.

Traffic Scotland published an alert at 7am highlighting the breakdown, which happened on the inside lane of the MP just before the A8 Glasgow Road turnoff.

Traffic was queuing on all approaches to the roundabout as a result.

And Traffic Scotland warned of delays of up to an hour.

It said the travel time from Broxburn was 50-60 minutes, with the M8 slow from junction 3A and westbound Glasgow Road slow from the airport junction.

Police were on the scene.
