Traffic Scotland had warned drivers to take care when approaching the roundabout due to the queuing on the southbound slip road.

The lights were reported as out at 6.40am, and Edinburgh City Council said an on call officer was en-route to the roundabout.

They said: “Newbridge Roundabout – traffic lights are out. Take care on your approach – traffic now queuing on the M9 southbound on the offslip.”
