Return for bus service
The 47 Lothian bus service, linking Penicuik Ladywood to the Straiton Retail corridor on Sundays, is to be reinstated.
Penicuik residents raised their concerns at a meeting hosted by the steering group for the Penicuik Neighbourhood Plan and Midlothian Council. Representation was made to Lothian Buses and the outcome is reinstatement of the service from next month.
There will also be an improved service from Sheriffhall Park & Ride to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary during weekday daytimes.
The changes, along with several others to Lothian Bus services in Midlothian, will come into effect from Sunday March 4.
