Extra Scottish Government cash to improve the state of Midlothian’s roads after the big freeze has been welcomed by the local authority.
Midlothian Council has received £201,000 to help cover the impact of the snow and ice at the turn of the year.
The money is a share of the extra £15 million the Scottish Government has made available for councils to deal with urgent repairs on local roads and cover the extra costs of winter roads maintenance.
