Thistly Cross roundabout: A1 closed after crash and vehicle fire near Dunbar

A crash between a van and a car has resulted in road closures and diversions on the A1 northbound near Dunbar.

An hour after this incident, police closed the southbound road at the same roundabout after a vehicle fire.

Police first received a call around 12.25pm reporting the incident at Thistly Cross roundabout and put a diversion in place along the A199.

They then confirmed that another report was made around 1.50pm about a vehicle fire in the same area.

There are no reported injuries and vehicle recovery is being arranged.

Despite the location, the incidents are not related.
