Trio join bar room battle

Three Edinburgh bars are set to battle with venues across Scotland at the annual licensed trade “Oscars”.

Hyde Out, Bond No 9 and Le Monde have all been nominated for Cocktail Bar of the Year at the 17th annual DRAM Scottish Licensed Trade Awards.

The awards, being held at Glasgow’s Grand Central Hotel on Monday, July 2, are the longest established awards of their kind in the country.

Event organiser and DRAM publisher Susan Young said: “The awards just get bigger and better with the passing of each year. This year, the level of entry in each category has been nothing short of excellent.

“I look forward to seeing the venues in person and meeting the people behind them.”
