TV historian hosts event

TELEVISION historian Neil Oliver is to host an evening of entertainment and discussion for the Royal Blind School.

The event takes place at the Playfair Library on September 28 and will feature talks from blind traveller Tony Giles and round-the-world cyclist Mark Beaumont.

Mr Giles was born with a rare genetic visual impairment but has visited all seven of the world’s continents. His experiences include travelling across all 50 states of the US and crossing the Arctic Circle, as well as participating in several bungee jumps and sky dives.
