Edinburgh weather: Met Office issues yellow warning for snow and ice over the weekend

The Met Office has issued a yellow snow and ice warning for Edinburgh, East Lothian, Midlothian, West Lothian from tomorrow.

Friday will be cold and wet throughout the day, and the temperature will average around 3C.

There is chance for snow in the Capital on Saturday, Sunday and Monday as freezing temperatures affect the area.

The cold air causing the drop in temperatures is coming from Scandinavia, the Met Office said.

The entire country has experienced heavy snow and icy conditions recently, causing major travel chaos.
