Voter forms in post for council poll

Council chiefs urged people to return the forms as soon as possible in order to ensure that they are able to make their voice heard in May.

Electoral registration officers will send forms during this month and next. Anyone that does not receive one is advised to call 0131-344 2500 or e-mail [email protected].

Sue Bruce, Edinburgh’s returning officer, said: “Registering to vote is very simple: all you have to do is update the annual canvass form with the details of everyone in your household who is eligible to vote and return it as soon as possible. If your details haven’t changed you can also reply by text, phone or internet.

“It is important that you complete and return the registration form so you’re able to take part in the election.”
