Two sisters will be joining in a walk on Saturday raising vital funds for a cancer charity, which supported their mum in last few weeks of her life.
Lavinia and Hazel Smith from Dalkeith, will be putting their best feet forward at Walk Ten, the 10k walk round Dalkeith Country Park, in aid of Marie Curie.
Lavinia (51) explained the family regularly fundraise for Marie Curie after their mum, Nancy Robertson, died from myeloma in June 2010.
“There was only seven weeks between diagnosis and her passing away,” said Lavinia.
“At the Marie Curie [Fairmilehead hospice] it was second to none.”
