The Met Office warn that snow and ice may cause travel disruption for commuters and travel delays on roads, stranding some vehicles and passengers can be expected.

They have also advised that due to the conditions power cuts may occur and other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected.

Bus and train services may be delayed or cancelled, with some road closures and longer journey times possible and there is a chance of injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.
