This warning came into force at 2am on Tuesday and is currently set to lift at 6pm this evening.
Further south west, the Borders and Dumfries and Galloway have a similar forecast with an increased warning for heavy rainfall.
Extreme rain over the weekend already saturated the ground which increases the chance of flooding in those areas.

"Up to 120mm of rain could fall in a relatively short time, bringing the risk of flooding.
"An Amber weather warning is in force for parts of Scotland as well as further Yellow warnings for rain and wind.”
