Edinburgh weather: Freezing temperatures over as rainy start to the week ends with bright and sunny Friday
Edinburgh residents will start the week needing an umbrella but could experience temperatures in the double digits before the end of the week.
The Met Office is predicting a damp start to the week before it brightens up towards the weekend.
Here is the full forecast for the week ahead.

Hide AdTemperatures will be chilly but nowhere near as cold as the weekend. Under 5C at the start of the day, temperatures will only hit highs of 6C due to a westerly breeze.
Light rain will also hit the region in the afternoon after some bright spells in the morning.
Tuesday
After a dry night where temperatures will have dropped to around freezing, Capital residents may wake up to some frost ahead of an otherwise dry and mostly cloudy day.
The Met Office predicts some bright spells with a chance of sunshine alongside a strong breeze and a maximum temperature of 8C.
Wednesday

Hide AdThe first real chance of some winter sunshine of the week, temperatures will not drop below 5C during the day and will hover around 8C.
Sunny intervals in the morning followed by a chance of showers before a clear evening.
Thursday
A cloudy start will give way to rain after lunchtime and into the evening. Temperatures will rise from 6C in the morning before hitting double figures in the evening.
Friday
A clear, sunny day is predicted with a warm start to go with it. Temperatures will start at 11C in the morning before dropping away to 6C by the end of the day.

Hide AdFriday should be clear with plenty of sunshine until around 9pm according to experts.
Saturday and Sunday
The weekend will start off cloudy on Saturday with a low chance of rain before heavy rain hits the Capital on Sunday morning.
There will be patchy cloud and a chance of showers after the early burst of rain, but temperatures will remain constant at around 6C or 7C.
