Giant spider spotted on M8 motorway

A GIANT spider has been spotted weaving a web over the M8 motorway in Edinburgh.

The image, taken from Traffic Scotland’s CCTV camera at Junction 2 Claylands, shows the arachnid looming over the motorway as rush hour traffic passes below.

It’s not the first time a large spider has been spotted on the M8.

Just two months ago, a similarly-supersized spider was spotted at the same junction.

It is not known whether the spider is the same one that invaded BBC Scotland in August 2014, however.

The Scotsman, for one, welcomes our new giant spider overlord.
