More than 600 athletes have entered the annual Carnethy Five Hill Race, which takes place on Saturday afternoon.

Included in the line up is newly-crowned Scottish Over 40 Cross Country Champion Angela Mudge, who has won the gruelling hill race a record 14 times.

The Carnethy Hill RC member is also the women’s record holder having completed the six mile race in 54 minutes 20 in 2002.

Lochaber AC athlete Finlay Wild will be looking to defend his title with strong challenges from other past winners, including Orlando Edwards (Hunters Bog Trotters), Tom Owens (Shettleston) and five times winner Rob Jebb (Bingley).
