A LOANHEAD teenager has returned from the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Athens with a bronze medal.
Raymond Brumby (18) was a member of the successful 11-a-side football team, which added to the impressive GB medal haul. The British team won 72 gold, 63 silver and 52 bronze across 17 sports.
Raymond was in the team which beat India 7-1 and drew 2-2 with Australia and 1-1 with Ireland. GB also drew 2-2 with Turkey.
Head coach Stephen White said the players were “terrific” and finished the tournament unbeaten.
