Chris O'Hare and Lynsey Sharp in GB squad for world indoors
The European medallists will be part of 23-strong team for the event which takes place from March 17-20, joining fellow Scots Steph Twell and Jo Moultrie.
Despite missing last weekend’s trials in Sheffield, O’Hare made his case for selection in the 1500 metres with a string of impressive performances in recent weeks on the American indoor circuit.

Hide AdEdinburgh AC team-mate Sharp – who was only third over 800m at the trials – has opted to take part on the advice of her coach Terrence Mahon, even after admitting this summer’s Olympics are her top priority.
“This is a team that has been selected on the basis that every athlete can realistically make their final, but also with an eye on their individual development looking towards the Olympics this year and the London 2017 World Championships,” said UKA performance director Neil Black.
“There have been some excellent performances during the indoor season and we are confident that many of those selected will be challenging for medals.
“It is important to remember that British Athletics’ focus, as well as that of the individual athletes, is geared towards Rio in this Olympic year and the World Indoors is one of many stepping stones our athletes will look to use.”
