Penicuik Athletic got off to a winning pre-season start coming from behind to snatch a 2-1 victory over Coldstream on Saturday.
Penicuik failed to clear a corner and Coldstream’s John Crawford fired a shot into the corner of the net.
Penicuik equalised just one minute before half-time when good interplay finished with Sean Patterson hitting home Penicuik’s first goal of the season.
After Ryan McCallum had hit the crossbar in 64 minutes, Penicuik’s deserved winner came in 73 minutes when a shot-come-cross from Dean Knight deceived visiting keeper Walters and the home side held on to win.
