That could be bad news for his rivals, as Hoy struck gold in both the individual sprint and Keirin seven weeks ago on the track that will host this summer’s Olympic Games.
The Capital star, 36, launches his bid for a golden treble tomorrow when he lines up in the team sprint, an event in which Britain are still striving to discover the optimum three-man line up to defend the Olympic title won in Beijing with the help of now retired Jamie Staff.

Hide AdHowever, Hoy, who has ten world titles to his credit goes into this week’s championships confident of adding to that tally. His individual sprint challenge kicks off on Friday, with the medal rides on Saturday, and he will contest the Keirin on Sunday.
Hoy said from Australia: “The data and times recorded in training would point towards my form having improved since the London World Cup.”
