At just 11-years-old, Danderhall swimmer Emma Hogarth has made a splash on the competitive primary schools circuit after swimming her way to glory at the recent Brodies Scottish School championships in East Kilbride.
Among the top 12 Scottish children chosen to represent their schools, Danderhall Primary pupil Emma, of 5 Woolmet Crescent, competed in her chosen event – 50m freestyle – after qualifying at an event at Ainslie Park in November.
Emma started swimming when she was just three. However, it is only since joining Portobello Swimming Club that she has found her competitive edge.
