Striking sensation Keiran Sommerville has signed for Livingston FC , after smashing the goalscoring record for his school’s football team.
In his five years at Newbattle High, the 17-year-old banged in an incredible 151 goals in 97 games for the school. And it obviously runs in the family as his older brother previously hit 105 goals for Newbattle.
He said: “I’m proud to have scored so many goals. My big brother Ryan (21), had 105 goals so we had a wee bit of rivalry and banter going.
“I’ve signed a two-year deal at Livingston. I went in to meet the manager, Mark Burchil and all that. I can’t wait to start pre-season training on June 17. I’m in the first team squad, so being a Celtic fan it would be good to play against Rangers if they are still in the Championship.”
