Following their tense 1-1 draw at Tynecastle Park — which saw Lawrence Shankland bombarded with items thrown from the crowd — both Hearts and Hibs have banked wins in their Scottish Premiership campaigns.

The Hibees beat Ross County with a 2-0 win at Easter Road, while Hearts secured a statement victory over a 10-man Celtic to keep their firm grip on third spot, as leaders Rangers also dropped points to Motherwell.

As we edge ever closer to the summer transfer window, we've taken a look at some of the latest transfer links at the top of the Premiership. Here are the recent reports for Hearts and Hibs' league rivals.

Celtic and Rangers battle for duo target

The two Glasgow outfits are reportedly fighting over more than this season's Premiership title. According to HITC, Celtic and Rangers are both interested in signing Rapid Vienna duo Leopold Querfeld and Matthias Seidl.

The latter only signed for the Austrian outfit last summer, and with his impressive nine goals and six assists from midfield, he will likely be a hard target to acquire. Centre-back Querfeld will soon be entering the final year on his deal with Vienna, so the club could opt to cash in this summer while they can.

Both Seidl and Querfeld are also attracting a lot of interest from England as the likes of Crystal PalaceFulhamBurnleyWolves and Leicester City are all also in the picture.

Hoops preparing 'huge funds' for summer swoop

Celtic have completed the £10 million sale of Liel Abada to MLS outfit Charlotte FC and are now scouring the market to replace him on the wing. According to Football Insider, Brendan Rodgers' side have put aside 'huge funds' in their pursuit of a new attacker this summer, as they want to bring in an 'A-list talent' replacement.

Abada leaves Parkhead after two-and-a-half years with the club and Celtic are already 'laying the groundwork' to bring in a new winger. They are currently putting together a shortlist of targets to consider once the transfer window opens. They are said to be searching for someone with a similar attacking style to Abada, who can provide pace and direction down the flank.
