Talks are at an advanced stage for League One club Stenhousemuir to stage Hearts’ home fixtures in the SPFL Development League.
The Tynecastle club have used New Victoria Park in Newtongrange for under-20 games for the last two years, however a change is imminent ahead of the new campaign.
Stenhousemuir are keen to welcoming Hearts and their youths for home games in the Development League. The arrangement should be confirmed before the end of the month.
Ochilview has a capacity of 3,746 with an astro turf playing surface, which ensures very few games are postponed due to inclement weather in the winter months. A priority for the Hearts coaching staff is to continue developing youth players through the under-20 squad, which is managed by Jack Ross, and the all-weather surface lessens the chance of postponements.
