HEARTS WEEKEND TALK: Djoum and Rherras benched | Todorov on target
African duo are unused substitutes
Arnaud Djoum and Faycal Rherras both failed to make it off the bench as Cameroon and Morocco both picked up draws in their World Cup qualifiers. Djoum, who started Cameroon’s previous match, watched on as the Indomitable Lions were held 1-1 at home to Zambia, while Rherras’ Moroccan counterparts picked up a 0-0 draw against Ivory Coast. Djoum is now on his way back to the Capital, but Rherras will hope to be involved in Morocco’s friendly at home to Togo tomorrow night.
Zanatta stars for Canada Under-20s
Dario Zanatta started for Canada’s Under-20s as they defeated their Honduran counterparts 2-1 in Tegucigalpa. The Canadians were in Honduras for a friendly as part of the Men’s U-20 International Series. The two teams are due to meet again later today.
Todorov on target for Blue Brazil

Hide AdOn-loan Bulgarian striker Nikolai Todorov scored his fifth goal of the season for Cowdenbeath as the Blue Brazil defeated Montrose 2-0. Fellow Hearts loanee Lewis Moore played 89 minutes for the Fife outfit too.

• Angus Beith played the full 90 minutes for Stirling Albion as they won 3-2 away at Elgin City in new manager Dave Mackay’s first match in charge.
• Juanma played the full 90 minutes and was booked for UCAM Murcia as they lost 1-0 at home to Girona.
What former Jambos got up to
• Veteran striker John Sutton scored two goals in three minutes as St Mirren defeated Ayr 2-1 in the Irn-Bru Cup quarter-finals. It was the Buddies’ first victory under new manager and former Hearts coach Jack Ross.
• Danny Grainger’s Carlisle side finally lost a league match, with the Blues going down 2-0 away at Newport.
