7 right-backs Hearts could target outside of transfer window

Seven players Hearts could still add to their squad as they eye another addition

Though the January transfer window has been and gone, there are still options out there for Hearts to add to their squad with manager Robbie Neilson today being vocal about the fact they are still eyeing a right-back to compete with Michael Smith.

The need for another defender became necessary after Jamie Brandon was ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury. Youngster Cammy Logan can be recalled from his loan at Cove Rangers though club management would prefer for the 19-year-old to remain where he is and experience regular first-team football once the lower leagues return to action.

If Hearts are going to bring in another right-back, it would need to be a free agent released by his club before the end of the January window, while there’s still the option of loaning players from other clubs in Scotland.
