Football Manager 2024 has been released live on Steam through early access and fans of the popular game are already sinking their teeth into the latest edition. The series is now over 30-years old and an impressive worldwide database of clubs, players and staff gives gamers the opportunity to take charge of their beloved clubs and attempt to guide them to unprecedented successes.
Just for fun, we simulated three years into the future with the new game to see how clubs across the Scottish Premiership and the rest of the world had fared. Here is how the Hearts starting XI looked in our simulation at the close of the 2026 summer transfer window:
5. RWB - Nathaniel Atkinson
A mainstay of the starting Xi throughout our three simulated seasons, he has a particularly impressive 2024/25 campaign where he picks up seven Man of the Match awards
6. LWB - Alex Cochrane
Pretty much nails down his place in the team from the start of our simulation and never looks back although he has not scored a league goal in over two years at the start of the 2026/27 campaign
7. CM - Scott Robertson
Signed in 2025 for £275,000 from Fleetwood Town, the former Celtic man has competition from Calem Nieuwenhof and fellow new arrival Gonzalo Aguirre for his place in the team
8. CM - Cameron Devlin
The star of our simulation for Hearts, he takes over as captain from Lawrence Shankland and has a minimum transfer value of £7m and maximum of £20m in the summer of 2026
