The Foundation of Hearts have confirmed they have transferred their highest-ever total over to the club for the second month running.

Only last month did the group break the previous record with £150,000 passed over, but that has now been surpassed with the “memorable figure of £151,000” which will go down well with fans.

“Just incredible. Thank you #createhistory #pledgeforlife#.”

Understandably, Hearts fans have been expressing their pride at such a backing.

One said: “Hearts fans never fail to amaze me at times, been absolutely awful for the past 3-4 years and still this every month. Only Hearts.”

Another posted: "Can never overstate how proud I am to be a part of this. Say what you want about Hearts fans but you cannot deny that time and time and time again they step up for their club. Especially in this climate, and what we've been through as a club lately, this is magnificent.”

Backing for the Foundation of Hearts has risen across the past five months with supporters keen to give financial support to the club, the biggest surge in five years.

That feeling has been strengthened with the dispute with the SPFL over the club’s demotion to the Championship following the termination of the 2019/20 season and failure of league reconstruction.

Foundation of Hearts have been vocal in their criticism of the governance of Scottish football, calling for change at the top.

Fans have also displayed their loyalty to the club with 10,500 season tickets sold despite the truncated season in the second tier and not knowing when supporters will be allowed back in grounds.
