Hide AdIt is the first time that Hearts and Hibs have met at this stage of the competition since 2006, when Hearts won 4-0, and the first Hampden meeting since the Jambos defeated the Hibees 5-1 in the 2012 Scottish Cup final.
The last match between the two in the competition was in January 2018, when a Don Cowie goal gave Hearts a 1-0 win in the fourth round. However, Hibs knocked the Jambos out of the cup twice in a row, in 2016 when they went on to win the tournament, and in 2017.
The pair meet on Ladbrokes Premiership duty on Tuesday night at Easter Road, which will now act as dress rehearsal for the Scottish Cup showdown.
Hibs reached the last four by defeating Inverness Caledonian Thistle 5-2 on Friday, while Hearts booked their spot by virtue of beating Rangers 1-0 on Saturday.
Aberdeen and Celtic will meet in the other semi-final, which will also be played at the national stadium.
The ties are due to be played over Easter weekend on Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12.
